Raxstar’s “Name On The Poster” music video, directed by S Sid Ahmed for Fearless Arts, is the highly anticipated solo single release for 2010.
The video revolves around the concept of being the name on the poster and appearing as a key figure in visual media. Parodying and spoofing some of the most iconic images of the modern age, every detail, from flaw to perfection was intentional.
Filmed in August 2009, on a green screen set-up in a Coventry club, it’s taken almost 8 months for the final versions of both the song and video to be released to the public. Having gone through numerous changes, in both the audio and the visuals, the same concept stayed true.
With limited pre-production time before shooting, the shots were compromised of fairly basic and standard angles to accommodate all the performances and cameos in a relatively short space of time.
“The video needed to be constantly in motion, always visually engaging. Like nothing anyone had done before in the industry.” – Raxstar
In post-production, S Sid designed the posters, edited the video and created all the visual effects and styles in a mobile environment performing render intensive edits whilst constantly travelling around the United Kingdom.
The producers were Rikesh Chauhan and S Sid Ahmed. Edited by S Sid Ahmed and Sachin Patel. Director of Photography was Marlonn Morgan.
