Single Cover
As the director of the music video for Raxstar’s ‘Name On The Poster,’ it seemed fitting that I also do the single artwork too.
The video was a variety of different styles and features arranged together to highlight the openness of the title. His name is THE NAME.
For the cover, I decided to take things in a more unorthodox approach, but trying to incorporate a variety of contrasting and differing styles together. Usually an impossible and ugly approach to graphic design I decided to instead go for a more typographic approach.
The typography plays an integral part of the video, using a wide range of typefaces throughout (including many subliminal messages.) Eventually having his face appear built from the words “Name” and “Poster.”
The aim of was to have the audience stand back and look for his face within the words.
